The 15th MISA Awards Gala
The 2017 MISA Awards are the 15th edition of the awards featuring 19 competitive award categories and 15 recognition awards all presented at the exquisite gala which will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel ball room (pictures in-set).
The event is expected to bring together various media practitioners, civil society, government and private sector leaders from various parts of the country with carefully selected entertainment featuring a live band and a mix of the best that Zambia has to offer. This will be topped by a gourmet cuisine specially prepared for the event by the Radisson Blu team.
The event usually comes to a close with the announcement and awarding of all winners followed by an open dance and celebration.
Entry and Adjudication
Entry into the awards is open to all journalists practicing in Zambia. The entry period is from March 24th – April 22nd 2017 at midnight. Entry is free of charge and open to any journalist meeting the entry criteria. The story entered must have been published over the past one year (i.e. between 22nd April, 2016 and 22nd April, 2017).
Adjudication is undertaken by an independent panel of judges that exercises autonomy in its adjudication and the decisions of the panel are final. Entrants are encouraged to ensure that their entries are of the utmost quality in all respects.
Entrants must show proof of publication e.g. sample/copy of the published material on a recognised media platform, a letter from the institution’s editor authenticating the material as having been published or a URL(web address) to a reputable online publication on which the story was published.
